Description of indicator
The indicator depicts the number of people receiving disability pension from the earnings-related pension scheme according to main disease category. The categorization is based on the main reason for the disability. Disease codes are based on the international ICD-10 disease categorization. Disability pensions include the actual disability pension as well as individual early retirement pensions, to be discontinued in the next few years. Actual disability pensions are granted either until further notice or as cash rehabilitation benefit for a set period of time. Both can be granted in the form of a full pension (work ability decreased at least 3/5) or a partial pension (work ability decreased 2/5–3/5).
